There is a rumor. A huge rumor. I think ,its true. Paul dianno sang on number of the beast. Somes lyrics are HIS style. Number of the beast is done for Dianno. i think it is not possible that, that Dianno left maiden...and...2 months after...BAAAM..a new album I am sure he has wroten some lyrics and so sang on number of the beast. i think there is (was?) a trial . Because Léa hart wanted that dianno sang some lyrics of maiden he has not sung..like "number of the beast "or"run to the hills" but steve harris did'nt agree with it. I would love to listen an old album of iron maiden with the voice of Paul dianno. He is better than Bruce what do you think?

He is. This rumour sounds impossible, but how can I say? Only Maiden's members and Paul himself can know the truth.

Hi to all, firstly our new friend riberix had proposed the best thread in this forum. Welcome and congratulations for this matter!!!. Well, Paul say to me that composed and sang in rehearsals at least the following songs: Hallowed Be Thy Name, Number Of the Beast and Run To The Hills. The first song mentioned it is Paul's classic composition, even in the metric vocalization. As other examples out of Maiden with a same compositive texture: The Land God Gave To Caines, Metal Tears or The Forgotten Ones, 'til The Living Dead from Nomad too!!!. Middle times, then powerful vocals, and an outcome heavy. Songs stereotipes from Paul's characteristic. TNOTB its composed just in the Paul's tone. Is the Paul track from these album. Maybe RTTH be a little higher vocal tones but anyway Paul can sing this perfectly. And maybe The Prisoner and 22 Acacia Av. too be a Paul songs. I have some doubts about Invaders. Now 'arry sure it didn't share Paul's same view. And personally I think that Harris is a thief, swindler, a great fucking bastard. Since Paul, Clive and Dennis were the musicians that made Iron Maiden grew and it consented to record. The entrance of Fuckingson (on.... vocals???) and the idiot that play the drums -gift of the sky - they didn't participate of the artistic fact in the band, although yes those that became millionaire fucking rock stars. Greetings, Marshall Lokjaw Ps.: please if exist someone like to share boots please contact me. Or posted here for all!!!

I'm almost sure that Paul has written "Total Eclipse" along with Steve Harris and Clive Burr. For the other songs, especially tsose which are written by Harris i believe that maybe Paul has sung them and they exist as demos. But not in bootlegs. I have searched for them for many years.... Only thingyinson auditions i've found...

Sure that exist... on the Top Secret Harris archives... Anyway the old Maiden songs singing by Paul are much better than TNOTB... and I'm sorry for the Fuckingson auditions, are s h i t!

This is a strange question, I think. First of all, Paul was not the main maiden-song writer. If I'm right, he only wrote Killers on the album. I never dare to ask that question to Paul or fuckingson (I met him once and I don't know why you guys are going so wild on him, he's a nice guy and to say it in Paul's words : the right singer for IM). IF some songs were written for Paul's voice, I'm sure they were re-arranged. Our good friend Marshall Lokjaw wrote that the land god gave to caine was written by paul. Well, this is a strange fact : if you look at the credits on the Fighting Back album, you will see that Paul has got NO CREDITS on this album. As far as I know, he was not able to write songs at that time - of course, he did-. Has gogmagog to do with it or is it a Iron Maiden fact? Check it out, I can't wait for your comments !

I think that Paul, Clive and Dennis (the best guitarist that Maiden had at some time) they were even the main composers (and arrangements) of early Iron Maiden. All they have a style and Paul's style you to make see in some song of TNOTB. In the Maiden dvd called Early Years, the first musicians of the band, they mention to the versions of Innocent Exile, Wrathchild, and others, as ugly, mediocre versions. Newly they achieved a style when the musicians that played them were DiAnno, Burr and Stratton. About those that Paul thinks of fuckingson, I don't have anything to say. Only for my fuckingson is a bad, boring and repetitive vocalist. Now, The Land God Gave To Caine it is not necessary to be a genius to realize that the style is Paul DiAnno (don't forget that Paul formed Battlezone with Hurley and it's probable that it composed their songs). Could you say that Mistreated of Deep Purple was not composed by Glenn Hughes?? (remember that Glenn going to Purple before to David Coverdale and them play this song in rehearsals). However that song doesn't have Glenn in the credits (only Blackmore-Coverdale). In many occasions those things are internal arrangements among musicians, companies, etc. You would say: "oh in Deep Purple MK 1 the composers is always Blackmore, Gillan, Glover, Lord and Paice." And in songs like The Mule (that includes the famous drums solo) because the main composer is Ritchie??? Bah... Would you tell me that Paul didn't write the songs of Iron maiden or Killers??? I think that it would be mistake my friend. Anyway, although Paul didn't write anything, he is the best!!! Aguante DiAnno!!!!

I've heard Bruce 'sing' on a 3-song demo that he performs at an auldition in 1981 for the 'vacant job' after Paul quit Maiden. Bruce sings in an almost 'death metal' growl on all 3-songs and to be honest Bruce sounds s**t to my ears after Paul's great singing The 3-songs are- Twilight zone Wrathchild Killers
